Script Rev 16 posted

Work on pesky little fill-ins like shooing the current Bessey houses and getting businesses around town is continuing.

I posted the current rev of the script in its usual place here. For yucks, here's the history:

v16: Jubilee was located where Villa Del Sol APARTMENTS, not the martial arts / Bay Leaf STRIP MALL is today. Jack must have missed this if he didn't think about the Del Monte building moving southwest 1 block in the early 1990s. So "It is now a strip mall" -> "It is now an apartment complex".

v15: Blame Canada. Graveyard ref St.Cath as well.

v14: Tiny rev in order, for easier editing, of order around "No Bessey is alive today".

v13: Found a color picture of the Murphy House in 1960, so add "shown here in a rare color photograph".

v12: Delete "he moved his family to Canada"; not needed and causes edit problem with KenBurners.

v11: Changes to accommodate the passing of Jack Rowe and Ann Zarko: Jack we change to past tense, Ann "who at age 96 WAS still active in Sunnyvale affairs PERIOD". Inflection change on "Earth stake into the ground". Different sentence to accommodate different intro of earth stake into the ground section. Change to THIS in "likely took his final strolls in THIS small park next door".

v10: Changed "Western" to "West Coast". Inserted part about AEB buying Armstrong some drinks to get license -- put in the Armstrong section. Both VO changes done already.

v9: The only thing that's new for v9 is that St. Catharines is spelled like that, with two "A"s and no apostrophe. This will NOT need a change in the audio voiceover.

v8: LOCKDOWN for voiceover.

v5..v7: EDITING and revisions.

v0..v4: BRINGUP for test showing.

Voltaic Pile to iPhone

Dave Lyons shot this picture of us setting up (and his hand starred in) a little 12-second sequence stressing that it was the development of radio which turned electricity into electronics, and thus powered the magic of the 20th century and beyond.

We show a Voltaic Pile and an iPhone. Would you believe as many as 4 lights, all little, all with "snoots" (long snouts to precisely limit the light)? And thankfully the iPhone has a brightness adjustment.

This is typical of the little holes I'm filling in day by day: Woz, Atari, Lockheed, flying over 101 in a helicoper, Sunnyvale Standard, Hallicrafters, Ohlone, the sequence above. All script holes being filled in all over the place, mostly backstory context.

Work on Sunnyvale's Heritage Park Museum has progressed to the Landscaping and Interior Build-Out phase, which means soon I can stop taking daily photos and create the time-lapse sequence.

The difficult items that I continue to "procrastinate" on: a tricky street sign shot and the radio power-up shoot, until I get the "simple" things all done. I'm told I "better" have something by April :-) and I'm racing as fast as I can for music and intro handoff. About 6 holes filed in the last 2 weeks, about 14 to go.

Home Stretch Ongoing ...

Just shot a time-lapse from on top of the S.S.U. tank at Olson's Cherry Stand; getting a re-creation of a Voltaic Pile ready; getting pretty shots of businesses around Sunnyvale (the current hazy weather is NOT helping); preparing for a street sign shot.

These are all the odds and ends needed to fill in background and blanks.

Working on some aspect of it every day.

Time-lapse of the New Museum looked very nice in a test render of photos taken so far: I take time-lapse frames from multiple angles every day.

Probably the final things to go in will be the radio power-up scene, and introductory comments at the beginning.

Thanks everyone for your patience :-)
